The shipment consists of 10 refrigerated containers weighing 180 tons, the manager of Ports and Maritime Office of Bandar Lengeh told.
Bandar Lengeh is ready to send the required items to Qatar through sea borders, he said.

In the wake of the recent crisis between Qatar and some Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, Iran is among countries which sent agricultural products to Qatari people to avoid further humanitarian crisis.

Certain Arab countries of the Persian Gulf announced that they had cut diplomatic and political ties with Qatar, accusing the country of supporting terrorism and meddling in the internal affairs of other states. Doha has rejected the accusations calling them baseless.

In a concerted effort, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) plus Egypt cut their relations with Qatar, followed by some other Arab states. They also closed transport links with the gas rich country which is highly dependent on imports to meet its needs.
